What is a good entry level luxury watch to buy? [Watch Comparison]

None of the answers mentioned so far have anything I’d consider to be in the “luxury watch” segment. In the watch hobby, anything under $1000 is usually considered to be “affordable.” Take that how you will. I’m going to list some brands and some specific models that might be considered entry-level (SGD $1000-$3000 used or new). This is not exhaustive by far. Some of these are not to my taste and a few are more horologically interesting than others, but ultimately your own ideas ought to dictate what you buy.

  • EPOS Originale or Emotion collections
  • Rolex Air King (only ~ USD $2000 if you can find it used)
  • Nomos Glashutte
  • Seiko Presage “Urushi” or Seiko Brightz, maybe a Grand Seiko if you can find a deal
  • Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra or Diver (stainless steel only)
  • Omega Speedmaster Pro (or reduced, depending on whether you care about having an automatic movement and chrono functionality stacked on top instead of integrated)
  • Breitling Colt, Superocean or Chronomat (stainless steel only)
  • TAG Heuer Carrera
  • Sinn Frankfurt Financial District or 103 St
  • Junghans Max Bill or Meister lines
