  • The largest Rolex watches come with 44mm cases.

There’s the hefty Rolex Deepsea diver’s watch with a 44mm Oyster case that is 17.7mm thick. Plus, it comes with a 5.5 mm domed crystal and the watch wears really big. Rolex introduced the Deepsea ref. 116660 in 2008 with a black dial then followed it up in 2014 with the black/blue “James Cameron” dial. Just this year, Rolex unveiled the new Deepsea ref. 126660 with new movements, slightly wider bracelet, and marginally thinner lugs.

The other 44mm Rolex is the Yacht-Master II (not as thick as the Deepsea), which made its debut in 2007. It comes with a programmable countdown with mechanical memory and is positioned as a watch for pro sailors to use during yachting competitions. One of the most striking design features of the Yacht-Master II is the bright blue ceramic bezel that sits on top of the case. The Yacht-Master is available in steel, yellow gold, two-tone Everose gold and steel, and white gold and platinum. Last year, Rolex updated the dial of the Yacht-Master II to include new hands and modified indexes.

There are no other Rolex watches as big as the Yacht-Master II or the Deepsea, but close contenders are:

    Sea-Dweller 126600 – 43mm

    Explorer II 216570 – 42mm

    Sky-Dweller 326934 – 42mm
