Jaeger-LeCoultre released today the latest interpretation of the iconic Reverso, the Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano. Issued in a limited edition, with a burgundy-red dial and pink gold case, this model combines the dual-time zone complication of the Duoface with the purified aesthetic of the Tribute collection and is matched to an original strap, specially designed and hand-crafted by Casa Fagliano, the world-famous Argentinian maker of polo boots. Characterised by two contrasting dials, each displaying a time zone independent from the other, the Duoface is powered by the hand-wound Calibre 854A/2. To maintain the perfect integrity of the case design, the second time zone is adjusted by a small slider set into the top case-band and completely invisible except when the case is released from the carriage to be flipped over.
Even the inner surface of the carriage is beautifully decorated with a sunray pattern to add visual enjoyment while flipping the case. The front dial is very typical with the hours marked by straight and faceted indexes, doubled at 12 o’clock, that stand out against the burgundy-red lacquered background. The Dauphine hands, the circular small seconds display at 6 o’clock and the minute rail track complete the ensemble.
On the other side of the watch, the local time is displayed on a silvered dial that creates a nice play of light through the juxtaposition of two finishes – a Clous de Paris guilloché on the background, and an opaline finish in the centre. The 47 x 28.3 x 10.3 mm red gold case is a perfect frame for both dials.
The hand-wound Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 854A/2 beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour with an autonomy of 42 hours. The final touch comes from the two-tone strap combining cordovan leather and canvas. Crafted by hand, it is inspired by the canvas-and-leather boots that Casa Fagliano makes for summer polo. Exclusively available through the boutiques of the brand, the Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano ref. Q398256J is a limited edition of 190 pieces with a price of CHF 22,500.
