IWC Schaffhausen has launched a new version of its coveted Big Pilot’s Watch to be worn on the right wrist

If happen that you are one of the gentlemen who wear your watch on your right wrist, IWC Schaffhausen has just launched a watch especially for you.

A first for IWC Schaffhausen, the latest version of its coveted Big Pilot’s Watch is known as the Big Pilot’s Watch Edition “Left Hand Crown” that has been created because 40 percent of pilots are left-handed and therefore wear their watches on their right hand. Given that IWC Schaffhausen has such a rich history in aviation, this seems to be an ideal watch to launch in 2019.

IWC’s “Left Hand Crown” has the same eye-catching design seen throughout the IWC family.

With a case diameter of 46.2 millimeters, this makes reading the time easier. IWC’s “Left Hand Crown” comes with a stainless steel case with a soft-iron inner case. The strap of the IWC’s “Left Hand Crown” is crafted in black calfskin leather and has a sapphire convex glass.

What’s unique about this watch is the position of the iconic, conical-shaped screw-in crown that is neatly placed on the left-hand side of the “Right-hander”.

Driven by a 52010 IWC manufacture calibre, IWC’s “Left Hand Crown” has a power reserve that can last up to 7 days. Reference Number: IW501012

The slate-colored dial features a power reserve display situated at the “9 o’clock”, a small seconds hand at “3 o’clock” and a date display at “6 o’clock”.

With luminescent indices and hands, optimum legibility is guaranteed, even at night or in poor visibility conditions, perfect for the adventurous-loving man.Pricing & Availability
